What is MadSync?

MadSync's TeamOS software provides a central location for your club records, club communication, internal sales (sponsorship products), event merchandising ... and MUCH more. [Keith] [2/21/2010] MadSync's permissions have been overhauled to what is (hopefully) a less-confusing model/interface. The new control will default to hiding custom role-base permissions, but allow you to edit these at any time. The same model will also now apply to visibility of forums and of page. Flexibility and simplicity should both improve once we release to production. It's in the final stages of testing but should be out in a matter of days.

[Keith] [1/25/2010] MadSync has just been updated to run clubs and events for sports other than cycling. Running/track is now fully supported and we will be adding event-wizard support for other sports in the coming months (in the meantime, feel free to choose sports from your edit club page). This release, which also brings improved forum permissions and payment support, brings the TeamOS software to milestone 1.1.0.

[Keith] [1/17/2010] Happy New Year! MadSync TeamOS 1.0.8 was deployed tonight. We've been steadily providing bug fixes and minor features for the past two months, in between work Keith has been doing to maintain and improve the ACA site. The holidays, and a few too many projects, have not kept us from making the important updates; but they have slowed some of our intended feature-adds. This should change soon.

Forum Area
- Customizable forum allows flexible creation of topics and access rules.
- Posts are made in HTML using the well-known and powerful open source FCK editor.
- Logged in users can customize how many recent posts they want to view on the front page, the post order, posts per page.
- Administrative users can create forums and categories as well as edit posts and close threads to further posting.
- Forum tracks views and visits, remembers states for logged in users and for anonymous visitors.
Administrative Area
- Slick AJAX interface provides lightning fast speed.
- Full member list with editable profiles.
- Easily change the activity status of any member.
- Roles based assignment of board positions to individual members.
- Access to various administrative functions is restricted by role.
- Participation points types may be customized.
- Reported participation points are approved by administrators.
- Club internal e-commerce management includes departments, products, and a list of orders.
- Club e-commerce orders may be collated into several different formats using the Team Order functinality.
- Team orders track costs and money collected to give a clear picture of finances before and after transaction.
- Ledger tracks overall club finances by keeping track of money collected for dues, internal sales, manually entered transactions, and external sales for events or other merchandise.

Public Area

Events Area
- Quickly construct dynamic, conditional event registration forms through the event creation wizard.
- Conrol public visibility of the events.
- Allow multiple signups for the same event in different heats or categories.
- Further customize event registration forms using the advanced editing functions.
- View registrants by category, see total registrant numbers and total funds collected for an event.
- Generate release forms for each of your regstrants.
- Generate start lists for categories for Time Trials.
- Generate ACA NCR Forms for ACA Officials.
- Modify registrations through the editing tool.
- Set cutoff dates for price changes and opening/closing registration.

Member Area
- Members register for your organization on site by creating a password protected account.
- MadSync collects dues for you using Paypal, Credit Cards, or Checks.
- Member account renewal date is configurable.
- Individualized profiles keep track of member information.
- Participation points system exists to track member involvement.
- Organization calendar allows listing of multiple events per day. Members can post any event, see who's going or not going, arrange carpooling, and print up waivers for cycling governing bodies where appropriate.
- Member polls create an opportunity to handle voting on any issue - polls may have organization-wide public results or private; and may accept single answers or multiple choice.
- Club-wide internal e-commerce system allows the collection of orders from sponsors or other purchases.
- All member contact information is available club-wide.
- Members control visibility of critical information like email, phone and street address.
